The actual rental cost of an event room rental
We will refer to the “actual rental cost” as the advertised cost we all see when visiting websites. For our own Tarrant Events Center, our prices range from $2000 to $3000, depending upon the day you rent. The rental fee is for a full day, 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m.
There are a few facilities which rent for half-days; most rent for full-days. The prices of an event center vary wildly, from a low of $500 per event to a high of $6000 plus.
In other words, you have options, an event hall rental for any budget, so to speak.
Then factor in the secondary costs of an event room rental
The actual event room rental price is only part of the big picture. You then must factor in the price of food, drinks, servers, decorators, entertainment, set-up, and take-down, and those secondary costs often exceed the cost of renting the facility.
Please note that some of these secondary costs are included in the price at some event space rentals. It will take a bit of detective work, on your part, to determine what amenities/services are included in the rental price. For our parts, we do not include any of those services at Tarrant Events Center. We are strictly a BYOB and BYOF facility, which means savings for you since you are free to negotiate with caterers and decorators and entertainers.
The bottom line regarding event center rental costs
There is more to the cost of renting an event center than just the stated rental cost, so beware as you begin your search. We do not mean to imply that there is any shady business dealings in this industry. We are simply saying that there is oftentimes more than what meets the eye in a stated rental cost.
Is a $6000 rental better than a $500 rental? In most cases yes. You pay for quality, and in this industry, a $500 rental is a discount rental with very little to offer other than a blank room.
Is a $6000 rental better than a $3000 rental? Not necessarily, and this is where we get into a discussion about amenities and helpful, courteous staffs.
