It is our opinion, based on many years in the corporate world, that any party is meant to be an enjoyable experience. The word “party” itself means “a social gathering of invited guests, typically involving eating, drinking, and entertainment, and it’s connotation is usually associated with having a fun time.
Having said that, it is our opinion that most employees, in any corporation, are most likely to have the most fun if they are outside of their place of work, a place they spend forty-plus hours, each week, trying to earn a living and trying to meet the demands of their bosses.

We would also submit, to you all, that there is very little relaxation happening at a party where someone got axed the previous week, or where someone was chewed out by their boss for underperforming or making a mistake. In fact, the word “relaxation” means the state of being free from tension and anxiety, and we would submit to you that the workplace, in no way, resembles a place free of tension and anxiety. In fact, the workplace is, almost by definition, a place of tension and anxiety.
Seriously, there has to be a better place for your corporate events.

We are talking serious goodwill, and that goodwill will pay dividends in the months immediately following the party. A happy workforce is a productive workforce and, setting that aside, simply consider that your loyal, hard-working employees deserve the best party you can possibly throw them.
