We take a look at farm wedding venues

Farm wedding venues are adorable. They make for great photos.  We all know that, right?  But what about the things maybe you haven’t thought about? What about the hidden quicksand you probably should be aware of?

We are Tarrant Events Center, serving the Greater Fort Worth area with our all-purpose event center. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more information and to arrange for a tour of our facility.

Okay, let’s talk about farm wedding venues.

There is a huge appeal to farm wedding venues.

Outdoor wedding venues have a definite appeal. Of that there can be no doubt or debate. Fresh air, wonderful lighting for photos, the whole ambiance thing that only the outdoors can provide . . . toss in the farm setting, the animals in the background, the hay wagons, tractors, pergolas, arbors . . . absolutely stunning background for any wedding.

Before you read on, let it be known that we are huge fans of outside wedding venues in general, and farm wedding venues in particular.

However, there are some problems associated with farm wedding venues.

What if Mother Nature doesn’t get the memo that there is a wedding scheduled for a particular day. What if that charming farm setting is now dripping with rain, and the area around the wedding site is six-inches deep in mud?  Or what if the farm animals don’t cooperate during the ceremony, and the cattle and sheep are particularly chatty while you are reciting your wedding vows?

And, as unpleasant as this may be, what if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction during the ceremony, and the unique smell of animal droppings wafts through the wedding site?

We are in no way trying to be negative about all of this, but we are trying to be realistic, and everything we just mentioned is a distinct possibility during a farm wedding ceremony.

So, what to do?

The only possible solution to this dilemma.

The only possible solution for a farm wedding, or any outdoor wedding, is to have an option available should Mother Nature do her worst.  Having indoor wedding venues, like a barn, close by to the outdoor venue, will protect you against a sudden rain shower or blast of wind.  It will shield you from the sounds of the farm, and it will help to lessen the unique smell of a farm.

Is it a perfect solution?  There are no perfect solutions on a working farm; however, it comes as close to perfect as you can get when renting any outdoor wedding venue.

Again, we love outdoor wedding venues, but we are also in this business, and we know the problems associated with them. The solution offered here will give you the best chance for success on your big day.
