What should you expect in a wedding venue?
There are, approximately, sixty-two-million married couples in the United States in 2022, or about 124 million people out of 322 million citizens. That’s a fair amount of people who at least have some idea what it is like looking for a wedding venue.
It also means about two-thirds of the U.S. population has no clue what it is like, searching for the absolute perfect venue rental, and this article is for you!
We are Tarrant Events Center, all-around event specialists, offering one of the finest, and newest, affordable wedding venues in the Fort Worth area. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more information about our innovative design and all inclusive pricing package.
First, though, we will give you a look at traditional wedding venues, and then a glimpse at Tarrant Events Center, a non-traditional venue which offers you freedom and flexibility.
A traditional wedding venue
There are a lot of options in the traditional wedding venue market, but options do not necessarily mean that your vision will be matched. There are outdoor wedding venues with luscious scenery. There are indoor wedding venues in theme-settings. There are entertainment venues, restaurant venues, VFW venues, and plain, old auditorium venues. Heck, if you really want to go all-in on tradition, there are countless churches available. What most of them don’t have, however, is flexibility in design and choices, and this is an important point to understand.
A restaurant cannot change its appearance. A theme-park, or just a park, cannot change to meet your vision. An event center, an event hall rental like a VFW, or even a church, all are rigid in design and most are unwilling to change their appearance to meet the needs of the many couple who approach them looking for a venue.
Many even require you to use their decorators, or their food-preparers, as part of a wedding package. Beware of the fine-print, and beware of the surcharges hiding in the corners of that rental contract.
The bottom line about wedding venues is this: know what you are agreeing to. Walk in with a vision of your dream wedding, and if a wedding venue cannot meet your vision, move on to the next venue. If you are lucky, you will only be married once. That ceremony should be absolutely perfect, and it should not be altered to meet the rigid standards of any wedding venue.
