Let’s talk about renting an event venue, and in particular, let’s talk about renting an event venue which reflects what you envision with your event.

The basics of renting any event venue

What is an event venue? It is, simply stated, a rental hall, or rental space, where events are held.  Prices range from around $500 to over $10,000, depending upon where you are located and how much you want in an event venue.

Included in that price is, of course, the main event hall, and then there is a list of amenities also included, and that list will vary from rental to rental. Those amenities may include tables, chairs, extra rooms, extra space outdoors, linens, audio and visual equipment, etc.

Unless the event room rental is theme-based, like the old Chuckee Cheeses, or some Disney-owned venue, they are usually a blank slate which will be changed once you rent it and dig in with the decorations.

Your vision transforms the event venue into a reality

The real transformation, of any event center, happens the day of the rental. That is when the renter arrives and begins decorating to meet the vision/theme of the event.  Generally speaking, the event hall management team have nothing to do with this transformation. They simply stand by and make sure you are working within the agreed upon stipulations in the rental contract, and they make sure you have cleaned up properly when the event is over.

Is it possible to do that with any event hall rental?

Those are the basics of renting an event venue, but not all event venues have the flexibility necessary to handle all dreams/visions.  Let us use our own Tarrant Events Center to explain that last statement.

At Tarrant Events Center, we have two VIP rooms in addition to the main event hall. We have multiple big screen monitors, and we have a moveable stage.  We also include a finishing kitchen, ten floor plans to choose from, and over an acre of landscaped area surrounding our event rental.  All of these “extras” are designed to help you in transforming our space into your vision.

Word of warning: not all event venues offer that much flexibility, and you would do well to keep that in mind as you begin your search.
