What are BYOB party venues in Fort Worth?
BYOB stands for “bring your own bottle,” and it refers to the serving of alcohol at an event. This is a city government issue and, as such, differs from city to city across this country.
Many cities will not allow private citizens to bring alcohol to an event. Instead, the people planning the party/event are required to hire a professional bartender and purchase the alcohol wholesale from a liquor distributor.
There are also many party venues, even though their city allows BYOB, which still require you to purchase liquor from a list of suppliers they approve, and also require that you have a professional bartender. They are within their rights to require that. Our entire purpose, here, is to make you aware of the possible red tape.
What are BYOF party venues?
Speaking of red tape, and regulations, we now introduce BYOF, otherwise known as “bring your own food” to the party, something you might think is certainly an option. But wait! What about your local Health Department? What are their regulations regarding privately-prepared food? And, again, even if the local Health Department allows it, many a party space rental management company will require that you only serve food prepared, and provided, by an approved caterer.
The reasons for this are many and we really do not need to go into them at this time; our only purpose, in this article, is to make you aware of it before you sign the contract.
Know what you are signing in a party venue contract.
And that is the bottom line. Know what you are agreeing to. If you want to save money, there is no doubt that BYOB and BYOF is the way to go; just make sure you rent a party room rental which allows you to do so, a place like Tarrant Events Center of Fort Worth. We have a finishing kitchen where you can store your previously prepared food during the party, and we have separate VIP rooms which are perfect for your Uncle Tim to mix drinks for the party goers. If you ask us for a list of caterers we believe are good, we will provide you with that list. If you ask us the names of some good bartenders, we can give that to you as well. But we in no way require you to follow that path.
