A discussion about bridal shower venues

The term “cheap wedding venues” is appealing, for sure, but it can also be misleading, and it is that fact which we will address in this article. We are Tarrant Events Center, and we know a thing or two about affordable wedding venues, and what “cheap” and “quality” really mean. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more information and to arrange for a tour of our all-purpose event center facility.

Now, let’s talk about cheap.

What do cheap wedding venues cost?

Listen, the definition of a wedding venue is, literally, a place where a marriage is held.  With that in mind, give us ten minutes and we can find you wedding venues which will only cost you $100 for a rental fee.  Heck, I have an Uncle Ted who will rent you his garage for $25.

Cheap and appropriate for a wedding? You can still find an event venue for $500 which will be appropriate for a wedding and not break any budgets.  Of course, just the word “cheap” is open to interpretation. Cheap to Bill Gates means something completely different from cheap to you or me.  Our own Tarrant Events Center has a rental fee between $2000-$3000 per event, and that may or may not be considered cheap, depending upon who the client is.

Confused yet? The point is this: no matter what your budget is, you can find a cheap wedding location to fit that budget.

What do cheap wedding venues really cost?

It’s not the rental fee which usually breaks a budget when planning a wedding. It is all of the secondary fees which put a strain on your plans.  What will it cost to decorate the wedding venues? Will you need to spend money to “upgrade” the location to make it look presentable?  Are there surcharges? Are there hidden costs? What is lacking in a location which you need and, thus, will have to pay for?

Toss in the cost of the florist, the cost of a reception hall, the cost of entertainment, and the cost of insurance, and you begin to understand that the rental cost of a venue is only part of the story which needs to be told.

Know what you are signing before you sign it.

The first question you should be asking is this: what is included in the rental fee of a wedding venue.  For example, our own Tarrant Events Center offers a finishing kitchen, two VIP rooms, over an acre of landscaped grounds, moveable stage, wireless mikes, ten floor plans, multiple large screen video monitors, ample parking and overflow parking . . . but those things are not standard in all venue rentals.

In addition, we take reservations a full year in advance, at no extra fee, and we pride ourselves in offering all-inclusive pricing, meaning no surcharges or hidden fees.

These are things you need to be aware of before signing your name on a rental agreement, and these are things which can make inexpensive wedding venues considerably more expensive.
