What is the cost of cheap wedding venues?
In today’s economic landscape, wedding venues start at $500 per event, give or take a few hundred dollars. Sure, it might be possible, in some cities, to secure an event space rental for less than that, but $500 is a good approximation for the industry as a whole.
How is that price determined? The Laws of Supply and Demand are at work and, without getting too detailed, the price of anything is generally determined by the amount of that product/service, and the number of people who want that product/service. There will always be people in lower income brackets who need lower, affordable prices for food, for clothing and yes, for wedding venues. The market in any city will determine what those affordable prices actually are. This is the way business prices were determined centuries ago, and it is the way they are determined today.
But wait! What is included in the cost of some cheap wedding venues?
Now let us look at a scenario where two wedding venues in a city cost the same amount of money as a rental fee. How does one determine which is the best of the two?
Look at the whole rental package. What is included in that rental package other than the event room itself?
As an example, let’s look at our own Tarrant Events Center. Included in our rental price are ten floor plans to choose from, tables and chairs, large screen video monitors, a finishing kitchen, a moveable stage, cordless microphones, two VIP rooms in addition to the main event room, and over an acre of landscaped grounds.
Is that a standard rental package? No, it is considerably better than the norm in this industry, and that is why it behooves anyone looking for an event room rental to do their due diligence and investigate.
You don’t always have to pay a lot to get a lot.
Using our event center as an example, do we offer a cheap wedding venue? In fact, our prices are middle ground in the Greater Fort Worth area, inexpensive to some, expensive to others, but the list of amenities we offer which sets us apart from many of our competitors, and it is a perfect example of how you can get a lot without having to pay a lot for a wedding venue.
