How much do affordable wedding venues cost?
This is a sticky wicket, as they say in the UK, because what is affordable to one person might be quite expensive to another. You can find cheap wedding venues, in practically any major city in the U.S., for as little as $500 per event. You can also find wedding venues which cost $10,000 per event, but even that will seem affordable to Elon Musk.
Our own Tarrant Events Center cost in the $2500-$3000 range, depending upon the day of the week, but that is for an entire business day, meaning 8:00 a.m. until closing, and that price is competitive with the whole wedding venue industry in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Is it affordable for you? We cannot answer that question in this article; all we can say is it is a competitive price for this area.
Having said all that, you know, if you have done any research at all into the cost of weddings, that the cost of the venue is just part of the total cost to consider, and it are the secondary costs where we believe serious money can be saved.

The cost of food, the cost of decorations, the cost of entertainment, and the cost of the reception venues, there is where the real cost of a wedding will add up.
The first three of those costs, decorations, entertainment, and food, can be lowered considerably by adopting a DIY attitude. The more work you do yourself, and the less you hire out to vendors, the more money you save, and we actually embrace that DIY philosophy at Tarrant Events Center. We have a finishing kitchen in our facility, where you can warm food while the event is happening. We can give you a list of vendors if you want food trucks or caterers. We can give you suggestions based on our experience. But we do not attempt to provide those services because we believe you, the client, are the best judge for what you need and what you can afford.
Making affordable wedding venues even more affordable
Then we need to talk about the reception. A scenario where you pay a couple-thousand dollars for a wedding venue, and another couple-thousand dollars for a reception venue, is a ridiculous waste of money in our opinion. That is why we have over an acre of landscaped grounds at our location. We suggest the wedding and the reception both be held at our venue, thus saving thousands of dollars. Decorate the inside of the venue for the wedding, the outdoors for the reception, or vice versa, and with a full day rental, you have more than enough time, in your rental time allotment, to hold both events at our one location.
