Quincenera (proper spelling quinceanera) is a celebration observed by Latin American countries for a girl turning fifteen. It is a passage, of sorts, from teenage to womanhood. Because this is a rich tradition in Mexico, we are now seeing an increase of this celebration in the United States, especially in the Southwest states, and a need for quinceanera venues.
The quinceanera usually consists of a “thanksgiving” Mass followed by a lavish quinceanera party, including a mariachi band (traditional but not required), a wonderful feast, and many guests of the family and young woman. The entire event resembles a wedding and wedding reception, and as such finding the proper event hall rental is a must. Finding the perfect event space rental in the Southwest states i.e. Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, requires searching at least a year in advance to make sure the perfect event room rental is secured.

What do you need for a quinceanera event space?
Finding the right event venue is, quite obviously, very important for such a grand and important event. At the bare minimum, the event venue should have the following:
- Tables and chairs
- Multiple rooms
- Ample parking
- Audio and video equipment
- WiFi
- Food preparation/finishing area
- An outdoor area (optional but nice to have)

Not only do you have to secure a church for the celebratory Mass, but you also have to secure the following:
- Food
- Drinks
- Music
- Decorations
- Set-up and take-down
What can you plan on paying for event venues?
The cost of event venues is wide-ranging. The good news is there are many venues to choose from. The bad news is there are many venues to choose from, and finding the perfect venue is a task for sure.
Rental costs can range from $500 to $10,000 or more. To give you something of a comparison figure, Tarrant Events Center charges between $850 and $2,500 per event, depending upon whether you rent for a half-day or a full-day, and what day of the week you rent, weekends always costing more than weekdays.
What is included in the venue rental cost?
Now it starts getting complicated. Some venues include food preparation in their cost. Some include set-up and take-down, while others include decorations and/or a bartender. In those cases, the price is increased dramatically because you are not only paying for the food preparation, but you also pay a fee to the venue for arranging for food preparation. We call these hidden fees, and you need to be aware of them.
At Tarrant Events Center, there are no hidden fees. Our all-inclusive pricing means there are no cost surprises when you sign our rental contract. We are upfront with everything we do, and we find that our customers are very appreciative of that fact.
