Wait! Aren’t party venues already insured?
In a word, YES, party room rentals are already insured, but that is only part of the story you need to understand. Party venues like our own Tarrant Events Center are insured for liability in case anyone is injured in a way which points directly to the building itself. For example, if a tile fell off of the ceiling and hit a renter, causing physical injury, our liability insurance would cover that. If a renter tripped over a loose tile in the entryway, our liability insurance would cover it. If the pipes burst and water damaged the decorations paid for by a renter, that would be covered.
However, all other incidents must be covered by insurance paid for by the renter.
Your liability when renting party venues.
If a decoration you, the renter, placed in position falls on an attendee, you can be sued for damages. If the food you serve causes sickness, you can be sued for damages. If you, the renter, cause damage to the party space rental, you are liable for those damages. And please, don’t for a second think that can’t happen to you, because it can and it does all the time at other party space rentals. Worst case scenarios happen daily across this county, and you need to be protected against it all.
