A discussion about bridal shower venues

Winter wedding venues has pros. Winter wedding venues have cons.  Our job, in this article, is to share with you our thoughts about the pros, and cons, of winter wedding venues, so that you are armed with the information you need to make an informed decision about renting a winter wedding venue.

We are Tarrant Events Center, serving the Greater Fort Worth area with our all-purpose event center, and we have the information you need for all manner of event hall rental opportunities. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more information, or to arrange for a tour of our event center.

The pros of winter wedding venues

In no particular order, let’s look at a few of the pros regarding winter wedding venue.

The demand is not so great during the winter months, so finding, and renting, an event hall rental will be easier to do.  And, because of a lower demand during winter months, some venues actually offer better rental prices during those “down” months.  There are also lower rates on travel, during the winter, for those honeymoons, and who doesn’t like saving money?

Because winter weddings almost always involve an indoor ceremony, there will be less concern (no concern) about the weather.

And, finally, winter weather venues offer a great opportunity for stunning winter photos.  A bride and groom, with a snowy background, is a photo you rarely see, but it is one worth savoring.

The cons of winter wedding venues

Winter weather drives the ceremony indoors, which means you will not have a chance to take those wonderful outdoor photos of the wedding party.

It is harder to travel to the wedding venue during the winter, which might mean your guests, and even the wedding party, might find some difficulty in traveling to the wedding.

There is a different vibe to a winter wedding, and that vibe may not match the dream, or vision, you have always had regarding your wedding.

And, finally, you may have more trouble than you would think in renting a wedding venue in the winter.  Holiday parties tend to dominate the venue rental calendar during the winter months.  November and December are much busier months than you might think for venue rentals.

Whatever you decide, do this for peace of mind

We can’t answer which is better, winter or summer wedding, but we can give you this word of advice: Make your reservations as early as possible.  Most wedding venues will take reservations a full-year in advance, and that is the tactic you should always take.  Planning weddings is always a stressful undertaking, so it is nice to have a venue locked up and reserved, thus eliminating one major concern.  The other advantage to early reservations is that it locks you in at that reservation price, thus protecting you against subsequent rate hikes.
