Admittedly, there are many options to consider when choosing a party venue. Hopefully, the ones we mention in this article will help to provide some clarity for you, and make your search a bit easier.
We are Tarrant Events Center, a leading party venue/event center in Fort Worth, Texas. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more suggestions and, if you are in the Fort Worth area, call us to arrange for a tour of our facility.
A party venue needs flexibility of design
What is flexibility of design? We are going to use our own party hall rental for an example. At Tarrant Events Center, we offer ten floor plans to choose from. We have over an acre of landscaped grounds in addition to our party space rental. We have a moveable stage, and multiple video monitors for outstanding sight lines throughout our party venue. All of these things add up to flexibility, giving our customers the ability to match their vision to the reality of the venue.
A party venue will be as festive as you make it
In our opinion, an empty slate is what you should be looking for in party venues. Theme venues may seem like fun places, but they lock you in with their theme. You want a blank space which can be transformed through the decorating talents of you and your decorating team. Even if you hire decorators, you will make their job infinitely easier if the party venue is vanilla, awaiting flavors provided by you.
Look for ease of access and adequate parking
This is one of those options which usually goes unnoticed by party planners, but it will turn out to be very important to your guests. Nobody wants to walk a block or two to attend a party, especially if the weather takes a turn for the worse. And double the importance of that statement if you are planning a winter party, if you are looking for a New Years Eve party venue, or a Christmas party venue, when the weather is almost certain to be bad.
In a perfect world, the parking for the event should be adjacent to the event center. It’s what you should expect, and it is what you should look at as an important factor to consider.
What if something goes wrong?
This probably has less to do with the party venue and more to do with your planning skills, but do you have a backup plan if something goes wrong? And trust us, something will go wrong. Our suggestion: take some time to consider worst-case scenarios, and what you are going to do if those scenarios become realities. This is one of those things which seem like overplanning until they happen.
And they will happen! Perhaps the management staff can help you in planning for worst-case scenarios; perhaps they can’t; it won’t hurt to ask them about their experience in this matter.
