The cost of a event hall venue will range from a couple hundred bucks for the local VFW Hall to several thousand for a professional event venue. Prices will vary from city to city, of course. It is a classic case, in most cases, of supply and demand, so you would do well to begin your search as early as possible, especially if you have a limited budget to work with.

If you are a person who does not like last-minute surprises, demand all-inclusive pricing before signing the rental agreement. This simply means there will be no hidden costs or last-minute surcharges. What you agreed to pay when you signed the rental agreement is, in fact, what you pay when the event happens.
The amenities (read the fine print)
What is included in the event space rental price? Usually, tables and chairs are included. Usually, WiFi, a sound system, and video monitors are included. But any amenities above and beyond those things depend upon the individual event centers, so make sure you are very clear about what is included in the rental price.

What do we mean by “flexibility in design?” Our venue, Tarrant Events Center, has ten floor plans to choose from. We have a moveable stage. We have a multitude of video monitors. We have separate VIP rooms. And we have a full acre of landscaped grounds in addition to the indoor venue.
Save money by dealing directly with vendors
If you truly want to save money on a venue rental, develop a DIY attitude. Deal directly with entertainers. Deal directly with food vendors. Deal directly with decorators. A number of event venues will have a preferred list of vendors/entertainers you are required to choose from. It is our experience that this simply means more expense for you, and more money in the pocket of the venue management.
