quinceanera party

We know how to keep costs down when renting kids birthday party places, and if you have an upcoming birthday party, and you are looking to keep costs down when renting a party venue, read this article.

We are Tarrant Events Center, one of the newest Fort Worth party venues, so we know a thing or two about renting kids birthday party places. Call us at 817-996-3636 for more information not covered in this article.

Now, though, let’s talk about saving you money.

First, consider the cost of renting kids birthday party places

The only way to save money on the initial costs of renting party venues is to choose the least-expensive. Rental prices range from $500 to $10,000 in some cities.  Our own rental fee is $2500-$3000, depending upon the day, for a full-day rental from 8:00 a.m. to closing.  You may be able to find a birthday party venue rental for a half-day, in which case you could definitely save money on the initial rental cost.

There is no other wiggle room regarding the initial rental cost.  They are not usually negotiable. They are what they are, and you can find that out by making a few phone calls in your city.

Savings occur in the secondary costs of party venues

What most first-time renters do not understand is that the major expense for an event like a birthday party is in the secondary costs, the costs of food, entertainment, and decorations.  These costs can easily exceed the cost of renting the party space rental. In fact, they almost always do exceed the rental fee.  We have seen it happen time and time again with our clients, so we know this to be true.

Now, some event centers/party hall rentals will include food, or entertainment, or decorating services, in their fee, but be forewarned, you are going to pay a premium cost for it, simply because you are paying the party venue management as a middle man in securing the entertainment or food or decorations for you.

Roll up your sleeves and DIY

The only true way to save money, then, in a party room rental is to roll up your sleeves and adopt a DYI attitude.  Shop around for caterers or, better yet, prepare the party platters yourself.

Shop around for decorators or, better yet, prepare the decorations yourself.

And, shop around for entertainment or, better yet, have Uncle Fred rent a costume and be Chuckles the Clown.

Trust us when we tell you that the DIY way will save you hundreds, if not thousands of dollars, and those kinds of savings make this suggestion worth considering.
