Private dining room in a restaurant option.

Let’s talk about the most common private dining room option, namely within a restaurant.  Most restaurants will have a private dining room separate from the main restaurant, exactly for people who want to rent a private room.  And why not? They are convenient, the food is right there, the service staff is right there, and all of the incidentals like cutlery and dishes are right there.

There are problems, however, with this option.  Usually (not always, but usually) you are asked to sign an agreement for that event room rental which requires you to purchase the food from that restaurant and to use the waiting staff of that restaurant.  This is fine, of course, but be forewarned that often you will pay a premium price for that food and for that service, and also be away that you are severely limited in the decorating of that dining area.

Service hall option

VFW halls, Elks halls, or any of the other dozen service organizations which offer private event space rental options, these can be found in most cities across the United States, and without a doubt they are serviceable if you are in a pinch and our options are limited.

Unfortunately, they have all the personality and ambiance of a sterilized operating room. We in no way intend that to be a mean statement; we are just stating facts.  If you have a vision of the perfect banquet, that vision may only happen if you do some major decorating prior to the banquet.
