Have you begun your tour of reception halls yet, in hopes of finding the perfect reception venues for your perfect day? We have some suggestions we think will help. We are Tarrant Events Center, serving the Greater Fort Worth area, and these suggestions are as applicable in Des Moines as they are in Fort Worth.
Things to consider when looking at reception halls
Here are a few things to consider as you search for the perfect reception venues Fort Worth or elsewhere:
- Start early
- Stick to your budget
- Look for versatility
- Look for easy access
- Does the hall match your vision?
- Ask about approved vendors
- Be careful not to over-rent
Start Early
This is our number one tip for anyone looking at wedding venues and reception halls: start early, plan early, and your options will increase and your problems will decrease. We can’t guarantee that, of course, but we can definitely tell you it is the norm.
Stick to your budget
Set a budget and stick to it. By planning early, you increase the odds of finding a reception hall that fits into that budget. Be flexible about the things you are not passionate about, but make sure you get what you really want in halls for rent.
Look for versatility
Tarrant Events Center is what is known as a turnkey venue rental. It is not only an indoor venue but also has space for an outdoor venue. It offers the space, Wi-Fi, tables, chairs, linens, and recommendations for vendors and DJ’s and caterers so you can add your own personal touch to the event.
Look for easy access
If it’s not easy to get to, your guests are going to be peeved before they even walk through the door. Tarrant Events Center is ten minutes from anywhere in the Fort Worth area. That is easy access!
Does the hall match your vision?
Here’s a bottom line to remember: this is an important event for you. You have a vision, and the reception hall should reflect that vision. Hopefully this is the only time you will get married, so choose accordingly.
Ask about approved vendors
Tarrant Events Center does not supply vendors and does not do catering. We leave that up to the individual tastes of our clients. We can certainly make recommendations, but we believe people like to leave their own personal imprint on an event like a reception.
Be careful not to over-rent
If you have 100 guests coming to a reception, why would you rent a reception hall which holds 500 people? In most cases you are paying for the excess space. If you are going small and intimate, then rent small and intimate. Planning early will increase your chances of finding the right size hall for your event.
A wedding reception IS important! Treat it as such. Put in the time and put in the planning to make it as special as possible. At Tarrant Events Center, we understand how important an event like this is to you. We want to work with you to make memories which will last a lifetime.
