Now, though, let’s talk about why you should consider small wedding venues for your big event.

Small wedding venues are usually less expensive.

The key word here is “usually.” We know of some small wedding venues in Los Angeles which cost over ten grand, so don’t think this is the gospel of event space rentals.

Still, as a rule, small is cheaper.  Wedding venues can run between $500 and $5000 per event; sometimes even more.  Our own Tarrant Events Center costs between $2000 and $3000 per event, depending on the day of the week, and we are at the lower part of the price range for Fort Worth.  Our capacity is 300, which puts us in the middle of the pack regarding capacity, perhaps a bit below the middle.

Bottom line: When looking for wedding venues, bigger is not always better.

Small wedding venues are more manageable.

This is a logical statement which seems self-explanatory, but it should be mentioned.  Wedding and receptions are a ton of work. They call for endless pre-planning. They call for constant vigilance.  They are, in a word, exhausting.  Again, a smaller space means less preparation, less decorating, and less that can go wrong when the big event arrives.

Every girl grows up dreaming of a huge wedding event with thousands of attendees; the truth of the matter is that few can afford such a dream, and such a dream has the risk of multiple things going wrong at exactly the wrong time.

Shrink that dream down and live to love another day.
